Surf, water, and lifestyle photographer and Fujifilm Ambassador Russell Ord joins the podcast to talk about his journey from professional rugby player to firefighter to respected surf and water photographer and how he took the steps of building a photography career while maintaining a full-time job and raising a family.  During our conversation we talk about how the discipline it took to become a professional athlete helped him build a photography career, what it's like shooting in the impact zone of some of biggest waves in the world, the documentary film "One Shot" that showcased his life and work, the fear of leaving behind the security of a comfortable income to go all in as a photographer, and the advice he gives to others chasing their own creative dreams.
