Commercial and editorial photographer, director, and model Rachael Galipo joins the podcast to talk about her latest art show and project called "To Be Frank" and how the gift of a 4X5 Cambo from her late uncle would end up sending her on a visual journey and help her to establish herself in the creative community of Salt Lake City. During our conversation Rachael talks about growing up as a Jersey girl with a love of sports and an early interest in photography and how climbing would eventually lead her to fall in love with the outdoors and set her out on a life of adventure and a desire to share that life through work as a wilderness therapist and, later as a teacher for the Climbing Academy, before finally deciding to try to make it on her own in the competitive world of photography. Rachael also talks about all the amazing people she draws inspiration from, how incredible and open mentors helped her find her voice and place in the industry, and how she tries to pay that same open attitude forward to others coming up, as well as the advice she gives to others chasing their own creative dream.

Photographer, co-founder of Street Dreams Magazine, and Sony Alpha Collective member Steven John Irby, better known to many as Steve Sweatpants, joins the podcast to talk about his journey from working at jobs like Game Stop and REI with no real plan in life other than paying the bills, to finding a like minded creative community through Instagram and falling in love with visual story telling and the opportunities it opened up for him. During our conversation Steve talks about the sage wisdom his father once gave to him of not living to pay your rent and how he would take that advice and apply it to creating a career he was passionate it about and would end up touring him all over the world while establishing a huge community around Street Dreams Magazine. We also discuss the financial sacrifices he was willing to make to see his dreams come to fruition, how a tight knit family has continued to play a role in his desire to form lasting creative communities, his feelings about the current trajectory of Instagram and how that has effected his career and workflow, and the advice he gives to others chasing their own creative path.

Interior Design Photographer Stephen Karlisch joins the podcast to talk about growing up all over the world with an early dream of one day becoming an architect, and how he finally ended up in Texas to pursue an education based on that dream, only to find out his true passion was in the darkroom. Since then he has gone on to make a name for himself in the competitive world of interior photography, working with editorial clients like Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Veranda, and so many more, as well creating long lasting working relationships with some of the most sought after designers in the country. During our conversation, Stephen and I share some of our similar experiences with two long careers of shooting architecture and design, and how we have constantly tried to evolve in a niche that can sometimes feel stagnant. Stephen also talks about the early days of building his career alongside his wife Kristen and how his love for architecture and design would lead him to finally walk away from a very successful wedding photography business to focus on what he was passionate about.
