Renowned photographer Mark Seliger joins the podcast to talk about his journey from a kid growing up in Texas with a love of the darkroom, to becoming the chief photographer of Rolling Stone Magazine for 10 years, shooting iconic portraits and incredible and sometimes hilarious conceptual ideas, before deciding to move on with his career working with Vanity Fair, GQ, and an amazing list of other clients.  During our conversation Mark talks about his newest book and beautiful personal project he worked on during the quarantine lockdown of NYC called "The City That Finally Sleeps" which is currently for sale and can be purchased with the link below.  We also talk about some of the behind the scenes moments of iconic images like his portrait of Kurt Cobain or what went into turning Jerry Seinfeld into Elvis. It's an amazing journey that I think you'll enjoy hearing.

Many of you might know this week's guest Niles Jeran from all his work with Moment and the fun videos he's made alongside Caleb Babcock in their quest to not only promote the brand, but to inspire other creatives out there that they can make something beautiful with the tool that's already in their pocket.  But during our conversation, I get the chance to ask Niles about how it all started.  From his younger years growing up with artist parents and trying to figure out his place in the world around him, to living as a ski bum in Montana and making shorts films with his newly acquired GoPro, to landing a job with GoPro, to traveling all around the coast as a professional freelance filmmaker, to finally finding a creative home at Moment. Throughout our conversation Niles talks about what continues to inspire him to create and the advice he gives to others chasing their own dreams.

Award winning documentary and editorial photographer Dina Litovsky joins the podcast to talk about how she went from studying pre-med and psychology at NYU to falling in love with photography and earning her masters at SVA and going on to work with everyone from Time to National Geographic.   During our conversation Dina talks about what it was like to immigrate to New York at the age of 11, her long time love of music, art, and culture, what made her realize that her interest in psychology and sociology actually intersected with her love of photography, and how she went about building her career.  We also talk about how she stayed busy over the last year with her personal project "Dark City" and her fascination with remote portrait work, how her style ended up garnering attention from renowned publications, what it's like to focus on personal projects in the midst of so much editorial work, and the advice she gives to others chasing their own creative dreams.
